INFO FROM THE EARLY STAGES OF THE PANDEMIC – UNTIL 1/1/21
“CRISIS HELP SHOW” –
Once weekly – Tuesday at 7 to 8:30pm (Platforms – Zoom, and simultaneously on Facebook Live and Radio (WVOX 1460AM, and worLdwide on http://www.wvox). Please contact Fran Sisco by phone to arrange being a guest or a sponsor. TO BE A GUEST OR SPONSOR on future shows, please text me at 914.589.1013 (cell) the following “Yes to and the date. Each guest has between 2-3 minutes to share a discussion, song, poem, monologue, writing, performance, comedy (but must be PG with no vulgarity), tips and suggestions, information about the EIDL Small Business grants, other grants and resources, memorials, etc. Several people have told me this show is a cross (a rough one at that) between The Joe Franklin Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and now with Jimmy Fallon.
On each show, there will be a 15-minute focus segment. For example, on one show we may highlight 5 actors reading monologues or a scene. On another show, we may focus on playwrights discussing their recent plays and musicals. Sometimes music and song with be the focus, and sometimes finance, banking and legal issues, or grant resources. Although prayer and spirituality and meditation has a spot on every show, on a focus show we may have three priests, ministers and rabbis having a discussion and answering questions. Filmmakers and reviewers will discuss films on most shows, but on a periodic show we will show clips from produced award-winning films, especially from indie filmmakers. On each show there will be some comedy (stand-up or sketch) but on one periodic show, we will have a game show segment, involving several guests and co-hosts, with prizes. Each show is very different so please keep coming back to watch them, either live if you can or prerecorded.
This show is an extension of the long-running Crisis Help Radio show that I’ve co-hosted with Tom Sullivan for over 11 years, and with my daughter Kelly Sisco more recently.

(Note) There were 2 technical problems, namely (1) I forgot to record the Zoom show and (2) the Facebook Live show was not recorded the first 10 minutes of audio (because I had headphone plugged in and thus the sound of the guests was not heard to record on Facebook Live. Note from 4/20/20- I plan to create a visual file from the fragments I have, to at least recapture some of the moments.

FINANCIAL – TAX
(1) Extensions – There is an automatic extension for filing and for paying Federal taxes extended from 4/15/20 to 7/15/20. I encourage taxpayers who expect a refund to file ASAP, and I also suggest filing extensions before 4/15/20 to get an automatic extension until 10/15/20, which is later than the current extension date.
(2) Preparing tax returns – It may be wise to file 2019 ASAP to get updated info on government systems that may be necessary for unemployment claims, grants, loans, etc. My usual tax preparation fees are based on the number of hours I spend X $100 special-reduced-hourly rate. Because of my unique systems developed over the years, and my wide and long experience, I am able to prepare accurate tax returns less expensively than many preparers.
(3) OVERALL FINANCIAL PLANNING STEPS – FACEBOOK POSTING ON 3/28/20 –
FINANCIAL SERVICES ALERT! – I am a CPA and financial advisor for over 35 years with thousands of clients over that period. If you or someone you know needs help, please contact me via cell phone or email to FrancisSisco@aol.com regarding:
1. Preparing tax returns, current ones and prior ones
2. Applying to the SBA or banks for loans
3. Getting unemployment insurance from your state or from new Federal rules just passed on 3/27/2
3. Moving some risky variable funds into secure fixed-rate investments
4. Evaluating insurance plans including life insurance and long-term care insurance
5. Getting estate plans up to date.
6. Seek out bold out-of-the-box ideas as well as tried-and-true prudent suggestions.
Reasonable fees.

FINANCIAL -STIMULUS CHECK OF $1,200 (if joint Adjusted Gross Income is under $198,000 and if single your AGI is under $99,000, with phase-outs before that level)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Yahoo Finance Article dated 4/24/20 about Stimulus Checks:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Copy from 4/17/20 email from Westchester County Legislator, Damon Maher, serving New Rochelle, Eastchester and surrounds:
We’re now in mid-April and you don’t have to send the IRS any money. In fact, it may be the other way around if you file for a refund now or if you are eligible for a direct individual payment from the federal Stimulus Package #3. The IRS has released its new Get My Payment tool (referenced in the note below) which individuals can use to:
- Check their payment status,
- Confirm their payment type: either direct deposit or check, and
- Enter bank account information for direct deposit if:
- IRS doesn’t have their direct deposit information, and
- Hasn’t sent their payment yet
In certain cases, the Get My Payment app will be unable to tell users the status of their payment. Users may receive this message if they:
- Are not eligible for a payment (Click here for the IRS FAQs doc for question on who is eligible and who is not eligible)
- Are required to file a tax return and have not filed in tax year 2018 or 2019.
- Recently filed their return or provided information through the Non-Filers: Enter Your Payment Info tool. Payment status will be updated when processing is completed.
- Are an SSA or RRB 1099 recipient, SSI or VA benefit recipient – the IRS is working with the relevant agency to issue payments and information is not available in this app yet.
Additional information is included in the IRS release that I received from our friends in Sen. Chuck Schumer’s office.
